===2000=== Davenport started the year by losing the [[Medibank International|Sydney]] singles final against [[Amélie Mauresmo]]. Her next event was the [[2000 Australian Open]], which she won in singles without the loss of a set. At the [[2000 French Open|French Open]], Davenport was upset by the 22nd-ranked [[Dominique Van Roost]] in three sets in the first round. Van Roost again beat her at The Hastings Direct International Championships in Eastbourne.
