Lewiston's economy has historically been driven by agriculture and manufacturing activity. Lewiston's main industries are agriculture, the paper and timber products from the mill owned and operated by the [[Clearwater Paper Corporation]] (until December 2008, a part of the [[Potlatch Corporation]]), and light manufacturing.
