Kenora is represented in the [[House of Commons of Canada|House of Commons]] by [[Conservative Party of Canada|Conservative]] [[Member of Parliament (Canada)|MP]] [[Eric Melillo]], and in the [[Legislative Assembly of Ontario]] by [[Member of Provincial Parliament (Ontario)|MPP]] [[Greg Rickford]] of the [[Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario]].

[[Dave Canfield]] served as mayor from 2000 until 2006, when he was defeated by [[Len Compton]] in the [[2006 Ontario municipal elections|2006 municipal election]]; Compton did not run in the [[2010 Ontario municipal elections|2010 municipal election]], however, and Canfield was re-elected as his successor.<ref>"Former mayor to lead council of veterans, newcomers".
