Due to the significant number of Italian immigrants who arrived in [[Argentina]], [[Paraguay]], and [[Uruguay]], gnocchi, ''ñoqui'' ({{IPA|es|ˈɲoki|lang}}), or {{lang|it|nhoque}} ({{IPA|pt|ˈɲɔki|lang}}), is a popular dish, even in areas with few Italian immigrants.
