;[[Jahiliya|Jāhilīyyah]] (الجاهليّة) : the time of ignorance before Islam was realized. Describes polytheistic religions.

;Juḥod ({{lang|ar|جحود}}) : To deny. Jaahid (the denier). Disbelief out of rejection. When there comes to them that which they [should] have recognized, they refuse to believe in (kafaru) it. ( 2:89) Accordingly, juhud includes rejection (kufr at-taktheeb) and resistance (kufr al-'inaad)
