On the border of East Brunswick and [[South Brunswick, New Jersey|South Brunswick]] is the Ireland Brook Conservation area, a {{convert|22651200|sqft|m2|abbr=on}} nature preserve of forests, fields, nature trails, and wetlands, near the [[Ireland Brook]] (a tributary of the [[Lawrence Brook]] within the much larger [[Raritan River|Raritan Valley region]]).<ref>[http://www.middlesexcountynj.gov/About/ParksRecreation/Pages/PR/Ireland-Brook-Conservation-Area.aspx].
