In the United States, the use of the BCE/CE notation in [[textbook]]s was reported in 2005 to be growing.<ref name=Gormley /> Some publications have transitioned to using it exclusively. For example, the 2007 [[World Almanac]] was the first edition to switch to BCE/CE, ending a period of 138 years in which the traditional BC/AD dating notation was used.
