Winslow was [[plat]]ted in 1906.<ref name="BussOsterman1921">{{cite book|author1=William Henry Buss|author2=Thomas T. In March 2019 a [[2019 Midwestern U.S. floods|flood]] destroyed Winslow. Flood water trapped many in their homes and resulted in many homes being abandoned, leading to many moving to neighboring areas.
