==Geography==
According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the CDP has a total area of {{convert|15.4|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|14.6|km2|order=flip}} are land and {{convert|0.8|km2|order=flip|1}}, or 4.98%, are water. The built-up center of town is in the southern part of the CDP, on the south side of Lake of the Hills on the [[Coldwater River (Isabella County)|Coldwater River]]. The Coldwater is a south-flowing tributary of the [[Chippewa River (Michigan)|Chippewa River]] and thus part of the [[Saginaw River]] drainage basin.

Weidman is {{convert|16|mi}} by road northwest of [[Mount Pleasant, Michigan|Mount Pleasant]], the Isabella [[County seat]], and {{convert|19|mi}} southwest of [[Clare, Michigan|Clare]].

The community is situated on the boundary between [[Nottawa Township, Isabella County, Michigan|Nottawa Township]] on the east and [[Sherman Township, Isabella County, Michigan|Sherman Township]] on the west. The area of the CDP within Sherman Township is somewhat larger than that within Nottawa Township. The Nottawa Township section lies within the [[Isabella Indian Reservation]]. The postal delivery area for the Weidman 48893 [[ZIP Code]] is much larger, including large portions of both Sherman and Nottawa townships, as well as portions of [[Coldwater Township, Isabella County, Michigan|Coldwater]] and [[Gilmore Township, Isabella County, Michigan|Gilmore]] townships on the north and [[Broomfield Township, Michigan|Broomfield]] and [[Deerfield Township, Isabella County, Michigan|Deerfield]] townships on the south, as well as the village of [[Lake Isabella, Michigan|Lake Isabella]] and the western half of the community of [[Beal City, Michigan|Beal City]].
