==History== The [[Dakota Territory]] legislature created the county on May 2, 1881, with areas partitioned from [[Grand Forks County, North Dakota|Grand]] and [[Pembina County, North Dakota|Pembina]] counties. Walsh]] (1845β1913), a newspaperman and politician in [[Grand Forks, North Dakota|Grand Forks]].
