is located in eastern Forsyth County and is bordered to the southwest by the city of [[Winston-Salem, North Carolina|Winston-Salem]]. [[U.S. Route 311]] passes through the center of town, and [[U.S. Route 158]] passes through the southeastern part; both highways lead southwest {{convert|8|mi|0}} to downtown Winston-Salem. US 311 continues north-northeast {{convert|22|mi}} to [[Madison, North Carolina|Madison]], while US 158 leads east-northeast {{convert|33|mi}} to [[Reidsville, North Carolina|Reidsville]]. [[North Carolina Highway 66]] crosses both highways, leading northwest {{convert|10|mi|0}} to [[Rural Hall, North Carolina|Rural Hall]]. The future [[Interstate 74 in North Carolina|Interstate 74]] currently designated as [[Winston-Salem Northern Beltway|NC Highway 74]], bypasses most of the town to the south while following parallel with NC 66; both highways going southeast connect the town to [[Kernersville, North Carolina|Kernersville]], northwest to [[Rural Hall, North Carolina|Rural Hall]].
