Taylortown is in southern Moore County and is bordered to the south and east by the village of Pinehurst. [[North Carolina Highway 211]] runs along the southern border of the town, leading east {{convert|2|mi|0}} to U.S. Routes [[U.S. Route 15|15]] and [[U.S. Route 501|501]] and northwest {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[West End, North Carolina|West End]].
