== Signs and symptoms == SJS usually begins with fever, sore throat, and [[Fatigue (medical)|fatigue]], which is commonly misdiagnosed and therefore treated with antibiotics. Those in the mouth are usually extremely painful and reduce the patient's ability to eat or drink.
