The accumulation of [[sebum]] combined with dead skin cells forms smegma. ''Smegma clitoridis'' is defined as the secretion of the [[apocrine]] (sweat) and sebaceous (sebum) glands of the clitoris in combination with [[Desquamation|desquamating]] epithelial cells.<ref>
