==Geography==
Scenic Oaks is located in northern Bexar County. It is bordered by [[Interstate 10]] to the east, by the city of San Antonio to the southeast, by the CDP of [[Cross Mountain, Texas|Cross Mountain]] to the south, and to the north by Balcones Creek, forming the border with [[Kendall County, Texas|Kendall County]]. A portion of the CDP is taken up by the [[gated community]] of Scenic Oaks. Via Interstate 10 it is {{convert|25|mi}} south to downtown San Antonio and {{convert|8|mi|0}} northwest to [[Boerne, Texas|Boerne]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the Scenic Oaks CDP has a total area of {{convert|20.4|km2|disp=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.05|km2|disp=flip}}, or 0.24%, is water.<ref name="Census 2010"/>
