==History== European settlement of the area that is now Saddle River traces back to 1675, when the [[Lenape]] [[Native Americans in the United States|Native Americans]] sold a stretch of land along the Saddle River to Albert Zabriskie.<ref>[https://www.saddleriver.org/history History], Borough of Saddle River.
