==History== Ronneby was incorporated on August 31, 1899. It was originally named Saint Francis, but changed when the post office was established in 1897, because that name was already in use. Ronneby had its own post office from 1897 to 1973.<ref>[http://www.postalhistory.com/postoffices.asp ''U.S. Post Offices'']</ref> In the early 20th century, Ronneby was at its height, featuring a hotel, a newspaper, a lumber mill, and three stores.<ref>{{cite news|title=Ronneby, Minn., fades--but not without fight|last=Marohn|first=Kirsti|work=St. Cloud Times}}</ref> It was an incorporated city until May 4, 2009. In November 2008, citizens voted 18β9 to dissolve the city.<ref>[http://www.sctimes.com/article/20090427/NEWS01/104270011/1009 ''St. Cloud Times'', April 26, 2009]</ref> The city had also voted to dissolve in 1998 but proper procedures were not followed and the vote was invalidated.<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.twincities.com/minnesota/ci_12286208|title = Tiny Ronneby, Minn. β population 32 β gives in to times, dissolves|date = 3 May 2009}}</ref> In May 2009, the city became part of Maywood Township.
