==Geography==
Rices Landing is located in northeastern Greene County at {{coord|39|56|47|N|79|59|36|W|type:city}} (39.946282, -79.993295),<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> on the south (west) bank of the [[Monongahela River]] at the mouth of Pumpkin Run. It is bordered to the southeast by [[Cumberland Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania|Cumberland Township]], to the southwest and west by [[Jefferson Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania|Jefferson Township]], and to the north, across the Monongahela, by [[Luzerne Township, Pennsylvania|Luzerne Township]] in [[Fayette County, Pennsylvania|Fayette County]]. The closest road crossings of the Monongahela are the [[Mon–Fayette Expressway Bridge]] ([[Pennsylvania Route 43]]) {{convert|11|mi}} by road to the north, and the [[Masontown Bridge]] ([[Pennsylvania Route 21]]) {{convert|9|mi|0}} to the south.
