Frampton was influenced by late 1950s and early 1960s rock acts such as [[Cliff Richard]] and [[the Shadows]], [[Buddy Holly]], [[Eddie Cochran]] and later [[the Ventures]], [[Jimi Hendrix]] and [[the Beatles]].
