==Geography== Olmito is located in south-central Cameron County at {{coord|26|1|11|N|97|32|5|W|type:city}} (26.019655, -97.534690).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> [[Interstate 69E]]/[[U.S. Route 77 in Texas|U.S. Route 77]]/[[U.S. Route 83 in Texas|U.S. Route 83]] runs along the eastern side of the community, leading northwestward {{convert|10|mi|0}} to [[San Benito, Texas|San Benito]] and south {{convert|9|mi|0}} to [[Brownsville, Texas|Brownsville]].
