==Geography==
According to the [[United States Census Bureau|U.S. Census Bureau]], the Northview CDP has a total area of {{convert|11.03|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|10.33|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is land and {{convert|0.70|sqmi|sqkm|2}} (6.18%) is water.<ref name=CENS/>

The CDP is almost entirely within [[Plainfield Township, Kent County, Michigan|Plainfield Charter Township]] and consists of the area north of the boundary with [[Grand Rapids, Michigan|Grand Rapids]] and [[Grand Rapids Township, Michigan|Grand Rapids Township]] and south of the [[Grand River (Michigan)|Grand River]]. ===Major highways===
* {{jct|state=MI|M|44}}, known locally as Beltline Avenue, runs south–north through the center of the community.  M-44 also contains a connector route within the community that links it to [[Interstate 96]] to the south in Grand Rapids.
