==Early life==

As a child, Furlan was obsessed with American [[rock and roll]] music.<ref name=Harris19921018 /> She became interested in acting as a teenager.<ref name=Harris19921018 />

Furlan graduated from the [[Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb|Academy for Dramatic Arts in Zagreb]] with [[Bachelor of Fine Arts]] in theatre.<ref name="hillel"/> Simultaneously, she took language classes at the university's [[Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb|Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences]], becoming fluent in [[English language|English]], [[German language|German]], and [[French language|French]].<ref name=Harris19921018 />
