==Geography==

[[U.S. Route 31 in Alabama|U.S. Route 31]] passes to the west of the town center, leading north {{convert|23|mi}} to [[Greenville, Alabama|Greenville]], the Butler County seat, and southwest {{convert|19|mi}} to [[Evergreen, Conecuh County, Alabama|Evergreen]], the Conecuh County seat. [[State Route 55 (Alabama)|State Route 55]] leads southeast from McKenzie {{convert|23|mi}} to [[Andalusia, Alabama|Andalusia]].
