==Geography==
Mantua is located in central Fairfax County at {{coord|38|51|7|N|77|15|28|W|type:city}} (38.852012, &minus;77.257675).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> It is bordered to the west by the city of [[Fairfax, Virginia|Fairfax]], to the north by [[Merrifield, Virginia|Merrifield]], to the east by [[Woodburn, Fairfax County, Virginia|Woodburn]], to the southeast by [[Wakefield, Fairfax County, Virginia|Wakefield]], and to the south by [[Long Branch, Fairfax County, Virginia|Long Branch]]. The northern border of the CDP follows [[U.S. Route 50]] (Arlington Boulevard), the southern border follows [[Virginia State Route 236]] (Little River Turnpike), and the eastern border follows Prosperity Avenue. The [[Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway)|Capital Beltway]] (Interstate 495) is {{convert|2|mi|0}} to the east, and downtown Washington is {{convert|14|mi}} to the east.
