Lynceus was one of the 50 sons of King [[Aegyptus]] of [[Ancient Egypt|Egypt]]. In the most common version of the myth, Lynceus married his cousin Hypermnestra, one of the [[Danaïdes|Danaids]] and a princess of [[Argos, Peloponnese|Argos]].
