==Geography==
Kicking Horse is located in south-central Lake County. It covers all of [[Kicking Horse Reservoir]] and land to the east and south. The CDP extends west to [[U.S. Route 93 in Montana|U.S. Route 93]], south to Eagle Pass Trail, and east to Hillside Road. The northwest boundary follows Kicking Horse Road and the northwest side of Kicking Horse Reservoir up to Mollmann Pass Trail, which forms the short northern border of the CDP.<ref>{{Cite web| url=https://tigerweb.geo.census.gov/tigerweb/| work=TIGERweb| publisher=Geography Division, U.S. Census Bureau| access-date=April 17, 2020}}</ref> Kicking Horse is {{convert|19|mi}} south of [[Polson, Montana|Polson]], the Lake [[county seat]], {{convert|5|mi|0}} south of [[Ronan, Montana|Ronan]], and {{convert|15|mi}} north of [[Ravalli, Montana|Ravalli]] via US 93.
