==Early life==
Kamapua’a was born to human parents, Kahikiula and Hina, on Oahu. There is not a lot of information on his childhood.

Growing up, Kamapuaʻa was never accepted by his stepfather, Olopana. This hurt Kamapuaʻa because he wanted his father to love him and be proud of him, but Olopana never showed him any love and mocked him instead. Kamapuaʻa grew with anger and let rage take over his soul.
