==Early life and education== Bachmann was born in [[Klagenfurt]], in the Austrian state of [[Carinthia]], the daughter of Olga (nΓ©e Haas) and Matthias Bachmann, a schoolteacher. Her father was an early member of the [[Austrian National Socialism|Austrian National Socialist Party]].
