==Geography==
The township is in southern Menominee County, bordered to the southeast by [[Lake Michigan]]'s [[Green Bay (Lake Michigan)|Green Bay]]. State highway [[M-35 (Michigan highway)|M-35]] crosses the township from northeast to southwest, following the lakeshore; the highway least southwest {{convert|14|mi}} to [[Menominee, Michigan|Menominee]], the [[county seat]], and northeast {{convert|40|mi}} to [[Escanaba, Michigan|Escanaba]].

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the township has a total area of {{convert|71.7|sqmi|km2}}, of which {{convert|70.9|sqmi|km2}} are land and {{convert|0.8|sqmi|km2}}, or 1.15%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> Hayward Lake is in the northern part of the township.
