==Geography==
Hobe Sound is located in southeastern Martin County at {{coord|27.076737|-80.142076|type:city_region:US|format=dms|display=inline}}.<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> It is an [[exurban]] area near the [[Atlantic Ocean]], approximately {{convert|25|mi}} north of [[West Palm Beach, Florida|West Palm Beach]] and {{convert|12|mi}} southeast of [[Stuart, Florida|Stuart]]. It stretches along the coast between [[Port Salerno]] to the north and [[Jonathan Dickinson State Park]] to the south. To the east, across South Jupiter Narrows, is [[Jupiter Island]]. Hobe Sound Public Beach, within the town of [[Jupiter Island, Florida|Jupiter Island]], is one of Martin County's four guarded beaches.
