According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the CDP has a total area of {{convert|4.0|sqmi|km2}}, all land.

Harris Hill is located in the southwest corner of the town, just north of the northern [[Lancaster, New York|Lancaster]] town line, and is centered on the intersection of Main Street ([[New York State Route 5|NY Route 5]]) and Harris Hill Road.

Just to the southeast of Harris Hill, is a large crushed stone [[quarry]] located in the town of Lancaster. The quarry plunges some 30 meters into the bedrock. The quarry, now owned by Buffalo Crushed Stone, was opened in 1904. Buffalo Crushed Stone is located on the south side of Wehrle Drive, just east of Harris Hill Road in Lancaster.
