==Geography==
Gattman is located in eastern Monroe County at {{coord|33|53|7.39|N|88|14|7.13|W|type:city}} (33.8853865, -88.2353142).<ref name="GNIS" /> It is bordered to the east by the state of [[Alabama]]. [[U.S. Route 278]] passes through the village, leading northwest {{convert|17|mi}} to [[Amory, Mississippi|Amory]] and east {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[Sulligent, Alabama|Sulligent]]. [[Aberdeen, Mississippi|Aberdeen]], the Monroe [[county seat]], is {{convert|20|mi}} to the southwest via US 278 and [[Mississippi Highway 8]].

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the village of Gattman has a total area of {{convert|0.56|sqmi|km2}}, all land.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> The [[Buttahatchee River]] passes just north of the village limits, flowing west and then south to join the [[Tombigbee River]] near [[Columbus Air Force Base]].
