==History== Gardner was founded where the [[Santa Fe Trail]] and the [[Oregon Trail|Oregon]]/[[California Trail|California]] Trails divided. The Santa Fe Trail sent travelers southwest through Santa Fe and Albuquerque toward Los Angeles and San Diego.
