==Geography==
Gantt is located in west-central Greenville County at {{coord|34|46|55|N|82|23|53|W|type:city}} (34.781918, -82.397938).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> It is bordered to the northeast by the city of Greenville and to the northwest by unincorporated [[Dunean, South Carolina|Dunean]].

[[Interstate 85]] passes through the center of the community, with access from exits 44 through 46. I-85 leads northeast {{convert|30|mi}} to [[Spartanburg, South Carolina|Spartanburg]] and southwest {{convert|140|mi|-1}} to [[Atlanta]]. [[U.S. Route 25]] passes through Gantt as White Horse Road, intersecting I-85 at Exit 44. US 25 leads north {{convert|6|mi|0}} to [[Parker, South Carolina|Parker]], a western suburb of Greenville, and south {{convert|46|mi}} to [[Greenwood, South Carolina|Greenwood]]. Downtown Greenville is 6 miles to the north via US 25 and [[U.S. Route 29|US 29]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the Gantt CDP has a total area of {{convert|25.7|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.04|sqkm|order=flip|2}}, or 0.16%, are water.<ref name="Census 2010"/>
