==Geography== Fort Hunt is located in southeastern Fairfax County at {{coord|38|43|58|N|77|3|29|W|type:city}} (38.732814, β77.058066).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> It is bordered to the south and east by the [[Potomac River]], which forms the [[Maryland]] state line. Neighboring Virginia CDPs are [[Belle Haven, Fairfax County, Virginia|Belle Haven]] to the north, [[Groveton, Virginia|Groveton]] to the northwest, [[Hybla Valley, Virginia|Hybla Valley]] to the west, and [[Mount Vernon, Virginia|Mount Vernon]] to the southwest across [[Little Hunting Creek]].
