The pond shoreline is heavily developed with residences and seasonal camps. There is a public boat ramp at the south end of the pond near where Mill Stream overflows to the [[Carrabassett River]], {{convert|4|mi|km}} south of the pond and {{convert|1|mi|km}} upstream of the Carrabassett's confluence with the [[Kennebec River]].<ref name=f&g/>
