==Early life and education== Eli Herschel Wallach was born on December 7, 1915, at 156 Union Street in [[Red Hook, Brooklyn]], a son of [[Polish Jewish]] immigrants Abraham and Bertha (Schorr) Wallach from [[Przemyśl]].
