==Geography== Located in the centre of the country, the town is {{convert|453|km|mi|0}} west of the former capital at [[Dar es Salaam]] and {{convert|441|km|mi|0}} south of [[Arusha]], the headquarters of the [[East African Community]]. It is {{convert|259|km|abbr=off}} north of Iringa through Mtera. It is also {{convert|260|km|abbr=off}} west of Morogoro.
