==Early life==
Dino Zoff was born in [[Mariano del Friuli]], [[Friuli-Venezia Giulia]], [[Italy]] into a farming family. Upon his father's suggestion, Zoff initially also pursued studies to be a mechanic in case his football career proved to be unsuccessful.
