==History== Delaware Township was organized in 1858.{{sfn|Romig|1986|page=203}} * [[Forestville, Michigan|Forestville]] is a village in the township on [[M-25 (Michigan highway)|M-25]] along the [[Lake Huron]] shore. The Forestville [[ZIP code]] 48434 provides P.O. A post office named "Charleston" was established in December 1872. The entire settlement, consisting of 21 buildings, was destroyed by the [[Thumb Fire]] in September 1881.
