==Early life== Selznick was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Florence Anna (nΓ©e Sachs) and [[Lewis J. In 1926, Selznick moved to Hollywood,<ref name="britannica">{{Cite web |title=David O. He left MGM for Paramount Pictures in 1928, where he worked until 1931. While at Paramount he married Irene Gladys Mayer, daughter of MGM mogul Louis B. Mayer.
