[[Sydney]] has a long rich cultural history. It is located in the [[traditional custodian]] lands of the [[Gadigal people]] who originally settled in the area at least 60,000 years ago. After the arrival of the [[First Fleet]] in 1788, a series of cultures emerged and adapted from European and American influences in needs of a modern-class city. New terrace houses began to develop from the 1830s, shaping the adaptation of Sydney's cultural lifestyle.{{cn|date=November 2024}}

Following the end of [[World War I]], new forms of culture processed a mix of Sydney's cultural diversity, on bases of ethnicity, age and gender.{{cn|date=September 2024}}

Currently, Sydney has transformed into a modern complex cosmopolitan society.
