==Geography== Combes is located in northwestern Cameron County at {{coord|26|14|42|N|97|43|37|W|type:city}} (26.245051, β97.727028).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> [[U.S. Route 77 in Texas|U.S. Route 77]]/[[Interstate 69E]] passes through the town, leading south {{convert|4|mi|0}} to [[Harlingen, Texas|Harlingen]] and north {{convert|18|mi}} to [[Raymondville, Texas|Raymondville]]. It is the last town U.S. 77 and Interstate 69E pass through in Cameron County going northward before entering [[Willacy County, Texas|Willacy County]] at [[Sebastian, Texas|Sebastian]], approximately eight miles to the north. Combes is home to the eastern terminus of [[Texas State Highway 107]], which leads west about six miles (10 km) west to [[Santa Rosa, Texas|Santa Rosa]], and eventually to [[Edinburg, Texas|Edinburg]], 29 miles ( 47 km ) to the west.
