==Geography==
Cibola is located in southwestern La Paz County at {{coord|33|18|59|N|114|39|54|W|type:city}} (33.3164215, -114.6649570),<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=April 23, 2011|date=February 12, 2011|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> in the Cibola Valley on the east side of the [[Colorado River]]. The community is bordered to the west, across the river, by the state of [[California]]. The river is crossed by River Road in the eastern part of the CDP; River Road leads south {{convert|2.5|mi}} to Cibola Park in the center of the CDP, while to the north Neighbors Boulevard leads {{convert|8|mi|0}} to [[Ripley, California]]. The northern end of [[Cibola National Wildlife Refuge]] occupies the southern part of the CDP.

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the CDP has a total area of {{convert|52.3|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|50.6|sqkm|order=flip}} are land and {{convert|1.7|sqkm|order=flip}}, or 3.3%, are water.<ref name="Census 2010"/>

This area has a large amount of sunshine year round due to its stable descending air and high pressure.
