The 1910 Census shows Herman and Luella living in the household of Nathan Weinberger, the grandfather of Caspar Weinberger. Weinberger's paternal grandparents had left [[Judaism]] over a religious dispute while living in Bohemia. He was raised in a home with no denominational ties, though with a socially Christian orientation.
