==Causes==
Acidic, sandy, or coarse [[soil]]s often contain less calcium. Uneven soil moisture and overuse of [[fertilizer]]s can also cause calcium deficiency. Calcium and [[magnesium]] are opposed within the plant cells, and have antagonistic interactions.
